The space shuttle Endeavour has docked with the International Space Station on mission STS-127. After the docking, the hatch was pressurised and opened to allow the seven Endeavour crew members to enter the ISS, joining six crew members on there. A ceremonial ship’s bell rang out the arrival. Just to ensure the six member crew and seven member crew were even more mixed together, one person was dropped off at the station to join the crew there, and one from the station became part of the shuttle crew.
Tomorrow, flight day four, will see the first space walk of the construction mission.
The open hatch ceremony is below as is the mission day briefing.
