Where the Sun hits the sky

My Equipment

Quick list of my astronomical equipment, with a few photos:

  • Celestron 130SLT, focal length 650mm, f/5
  • Tasco 60mm, focal length 800mm, f/13.3
  • Greenkat 60mm spotting scope, 22x
  • Seiko 40mm toy scope, 15-45x
  • 3.3x barlow
  • Eyepieces 4mm, 9mm, 12.5mm, 25mm
  • Nikon f55 SLR with 28-80mm lens
  • PCline webcam
  • CCD camera
  • Olympus Camedia C-3000 zoom digital camera

The 130SLT is used for most of the astronomical use. The Tasco is used as a solar projection scope, with the 3.3x Barlow and the 12.5mm eyepiece. The Seiko and Greenkat were my original scopes and just get used occasionally when I’m feeling lazy and there’s a planet outside the window.
