Two new IYA2009 exhibitions

Two exhibitions are to begin tomorrow to celebrate the International Year of Astronomy, 2009. One, Our Amazing Universe, is at my home town of Kendal, located at Kendal Museum. The other, Your Universe, is located at my alma mater,  University College London.

Our Amazing Universe, created by the Eddington Society and Kendal Museum, features astronomical posters (including 3D Mars images), a meteorite collection and information panels on Sir Arthur Stanley Eddington, who was born a stone’s throw from the museum at the old Stramongate School building.

Your Universe is UCL‘s demonstration of its research capacities during the IYA2009. This includes a series of lectures, telescopes, exhibits including the University of London Observatory, the Magic Planet and Stars and the chance to meet young researchers and find out what they do.
