One of the UK’s largest annual astronomical gatherings, the Herstmonceux Astronomy Festival is to be held this weekend on the 11th-13th September (the Saturday and Sunday are the main event days). There will be lectures, films, tours of the telescopes and viewing sessions during the day and the night at the Observatory as well as trade and UK astronomy society stalls. For members of the Society for Popular Astronomy, bring your membership card to their stall to receive a free gift.
Prices for the entire weekend are:
- Adult: £30
- Senior: £23
- Child: £20
Prices for individual sessions (Friday evening, Saturday Morning, Saturday evening, Sunday evening) are the same as normal entrance fees. Entry to the grounds of the surrounding castle are extra, and each lecture costs an additional £2.
