Shuttle artifacts to be listed for museum transfers

Artifacts of the shuttle program ranging from clothes and equipment to astronaut food are being put on the web for museums and educational establishments to bid for their next resting place. This is part of the transitions program that will oversee NASA’s conversion of its human spaceflight transport from the shuttle to the Constellation program, which uses Ares rockets and Orion capsules. NASA have now begun prescreening educational establishments that wish to bid for the items.
