The science blog of the Times yesterday pointed me to a post on Cosmic Log of MSNBC. This post brings together a few images from the Cassini space probe that have been rendered as 3D images (it also includes links to Martian, Hubble and general space 3D posts – see ‘More about 3D imagery’ at the bottom of the article).
You will need your own glasses to be able to view them. Google can assist in tracking down websites on making your own, or finding somewhere to buy them. One place you can buy a pair and get a free booklet of astronomy 3D images (I think that’s the way it’s meant to be…) is the Astronomy Now publication, The 3D Universe.
