She is an astronomer – conference in London

On the 22nd and 23rd of April, a conference will be held at the Royal Astronomical Society premises in Burlington House, Piccadilly, London to dissect the activities and results of the International Year of Astronomy, 2009 project She is an Astronomer.

The conference will be opened by the President of the Institute of Physics and discoverer of Pulsars, Professor Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell. Talks and presentations will cover a wide range of topics, addressing historical and contemporary issues as well as providing support and career guidance. Fees for the two days, lunch and refreshments will be £50 a piece. Registration is open until the fifteenth of March and space is limited.
