To celebrate Hubble’s twentieth anniversary in space, the institute behind the telescope is offering a limited number of prints to European science centres and planetariums. If you are such an institution, make an application here and if you are successful, you will receive press coverage, the image and promotion of your event on this website.
The recent symposium “The Public Face of Space” generated, as symposia do, plenty of talks, posters and other resources. These have all now been put online for download here. As in previous years, a DVD of the resources will also be produced, but in limited numbers as it is anticipated people will choose to download.
Meanwhile, another such workshop will be taking place, concentrating on online visualisation resources. “Exploring the Universe bit by bit: New directions and uses of astronomy software” will take place at the Adler planetarium, Chicago, USA on the 28th-30th April, 2010.
