More on science funding and the election

If you’re in London and reading this now, then stop and pop over to Westminster where Brian Cox is hosting a discussion on science funding and political activism in the upcoming election. The discussion will be at the Monk Exchange, Strutton Ground, London at 7:30pm.

Meanwhile the Guardian has published a comment on this area from its perspective (the usual it’s all Thatchers fault and an analysis of cuts that ends at 1997, but the general point can still be applied).

Kav also makes the same point on science activism in a post on the remaining issues with the STFC fix, suggesting that as we can’t rely on the present STFC management to make the case for an increased science budget, then the community should do it.
