The research centre NASA Ames hit the news when a couple of students hoping to do a project on air drag for their local science fair rang up to ask if they could use their facilities. As it happened, the lab was set up in a way that would allow the tests to be done one lunch hour. The students therefore came over, plonked a load of toys in the water and dye bath and measured airflow vectors. Full story here.
