There’s a few things upcoming (besides the millions of things arrange for Global Astronomy Month).
On April 8th at 7pm, Professor Brian Cox will be part of a panel discussing science issues in the upcoming general election at the Wellcome Collection in London. Pairs of free tickets may be won by readers of the Times’ Eureka magazine by clicking here.
Followers of NASA’s twitter account may sign up for a tweet-up to be held at 1:00 p.m. EDT on the National Mall in Washington, D.C on the 18th of April. The subject will be the fortieth anniversary of Earth day and climate scientists from NASA will be available for a chat.
One of NASA’s airborne observatories the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy, or SOFIA, has been honoured with an exhibition at the Hiller Aviation Museum and Institute in San Carlos, California. Read about what it is, why it needs to be up there and what it does.
…and finally, the Great Moonbuggy race, as mentioned in an earlier blog, will be hitting the bumpy Moonlike road again soon. These are the teams. This is the twitter account. The event will be on April 9th/10th at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville Alabama with a chat to the experts session on April 6th at 3pm EDT (10am BST) for which all the travelling you need to do is to bring your mouse here and click the link.
