Kendal Sky watch tomorrow

If it remains relatively clear, the Eddington Astronomical Society will be holding a public astronomy observing session at Abbot Hall park, Kendal from 8pm tomorrow (Wednesday 21st of April).

Major targets will include the Moon, Mars and Saturn as well as various satellites and whatever else anyone brings along to view. There’ll be lots of telescopes of different shapes and sizes to look through, all hopefully pointing at different things.

As a matter of luck good timing, it is Lunar Week (which tweets here) as part of Global Astronomy Month, so lots of Moon watching is expected of you all.

On Saturday, the fun continues for those aged 9-16 with Space Explorers, the young space enthusiast’s group, from 2:30-4pm at Kendal Museum. Meanwhile all ages are invited to the Global Astronomy Month Global Star Party – facebook invitation here.
