Science at the BFI

The June season for the British Film Institute on the South Bank of the Thames in London has been announced. Two items of possible interest are Science on Film, including lots of films that involve or are about scientists, and Science on TV, including panel discussions on Horizon and an audience with Sir Patrick Moore:

Science on Film (3rd-29th): In the first part of our three-month survey of the relationship between science and film and television – part of the Year of Science celebrations marking the 350th anniversary of The Royal Society – we take a look at the way scientists and their work have been depicted on screen.

Science on TV (7th-30th): In the first of a three-part series, we examine how television has sought in various forms to deepen and enrich our understanding of science.
