Getting our agents in place…

The Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology spends most of its time developing short briefs on matters pertaining to, well, science and technology to help ministers get a quick idea on an area of interest or concern. These briefs are called POSTnotes. The office will also be responsible, since the election, of providing scientific training to all Conservative party MPs and those of other parties who request it. It is normally staffed with good graduates in appropriate disciplines, but occasionally takes on PhD students for three month fellowships. The next STFC fellowship in POST is now available for applications. Candidates must be STFC funded and beyond their first year, though before their final viva, during the period of the fellowship.
