Some BIYA updates

Beyond the International Year of Astronomy, 2009 has released a few updates.

The conference for science communicators, Future Science: The Frontiers of 21st Century Astronomy was held yesterday at 1608 Rhode Island Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.

Slightly more timely, the deadline for the Hubble in Pop Culture competition, which invites people to send in examples of Hubble Space Telescope images being used in the everyday world, slotted into a number of categories, has been extended until the end of June.

And finally, the Stellarium free planetarium program has a new update out. It includes such things as satellite displays and eyepiece view simulation.
