RockON! with Wallops

On the 19th of June, 80 university students will converge on NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility to take part in a rocketry workshop called RockOn! Seven experiments from the workshop will join eleven custom built ones (collectively called RockSat) from universities that had previously participated in the exercise in being launched aboard the Terrier-Orion sounding rockets to an altitude of 75km on the 24th of June. After payload recovery, participants will then have to analyse their data.

RockOn! is part of NASA’s Education program and the rocket is supplied by the Sounding Rocket Program Office.
