On Saturday at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, the British Astronomical Association will hold its Exhibition Meeting to showcase the efforts of the society and other linked enterprises. It is free of charge and open to all.
On the 20th-24th of August, the 29th European Symposium on Occultation Projects will be held at the University of York. The participants will range from advanced amateurs to professional observers. Further details are on the BAA Blog.
On the 1st-10th of September, a summer school on satellite navigation will be held at Slettestrand near Aalborg, Denmark. There were fifty places for the school, all claimed within a fortnight of the first call for applications.
On the 27th of November, the BAA will be relaunching its Historical Section with an innaugural meeting. Further details to be announced at the Exhibition Meeting.
