Old MacDonald had a… nice clear sky until something ruined it…

The University of Texas at Austin McDonald Observatory has picked a fight with light pollution. It will be publishing a number of radio programs and videos on its website and new youtube channel. Light pollution is artificial light that strays upwards, bouncing off pollutants in the air and reflecting down, creating an orange glow in the night sky that blots out the stars and interferes with astronomical imaging.
