Two upcoming talks of some interest.
The first is on Friday at the Royal Institution. It will see the new Minister for Science and the Universities, David Willetts, explain the Government’s vision for science. The talk will take place between 11am-12pm on the 9th of July in the Faraday Lecture theatre at the Royal Institution. Tickets are free and likely to be abundant, but must be booked in advance. The second is on star formation and will be presented by Dr Mark Westmoquette of UCL at Greenwich Observatory. The title is Violent Universe: A History of Star Formation and it will take place from 19:00-20:30 on Wednesday the 14th of July. Tickets cost £8, £6 for concessions, and can be booked here.
