A couple of things to read

Useful on these rainy days and nights…

The next edition of the Sky at Night magazine will be hitting the shelves soon enough and a preview is given on their forums.

If you feel you can’t wait that long, then NASA’s History Division has published a free ebook for download from here:

Integrating concepts from philosophical, anthropological, and astrobiological disciplines, Cosmos and Culture begins to explore the interdisciplinary questions of cosmic evolution.

Also considering the philosophy of science, there’s an article in the Guardian, though rather marred by the presence of an antiscience one in the same publication. Perhaps one for the ‘bad science’ bloggers researched by these people.

Finally, it is four hundred years to the day since Galileo put telescope to eye and saw the planet Saturn. More on his reports since that time here.
